Mine is slightly obscure. Anyone remember The Fall And Rise Of Reginald Perrin (with my favourite alltime actor Leonard Rossiter)? If so, do you remember the regular bits where CJ (Reggie's boss) would say "I didn't get where I am today by..." THe sentence would conclude with a suggestion of Reggie's that CJ wished to dismiss. It was very amusing. Though I did enjoy the end of The Wonder Years, too.
