288th Topic... What have you learned?? by Shlong on 2001-07-18 04:02:24

With 287 topics created and commented on prior to the publication of this, I ask myself why I have become so hooked on this site. What person gain can I get from it, how can I help others lead a better and more fulfilling life? The answer... I know not. I leave this topic open for others to discuss how this meger website has changed their lives, for profit or for decline.

I know this site for me, helps me pass those 30 minutes between getting to Leeds early in the hope of finding a parking space, and starting work. Also, when you just need a wee break from looking at masses of IOS configs and logs, and struggling to get your major fault handling application to do anything... potatoE is such a sweet word.

I know I'm the wiser that I can't do HTML.... and it keeps me from watching The Mask. For those of you who were following that less than interesting saga, I lost it, but I've found it again now. No, I think its the different and random views that people have that make us return. Its so goshdarn in-te-res-ting.

well shit. I didn't think I was going to have HOMEWORK! So okay: What I Did During My Summer Vacation: I went to this website and found that I liked the like-minded people there. I can't stand chatrooms and this allows for (sort-of) dialogue with a chosen few... Worm Nerd relaxes and stretches my brain. The End (bloody Hell!)

Its also a great way to keep in touch with close friends back home. The amount of times i sit in the computer room in canterbury smiling at Kids remarks provides a worthy existence of this site. Schlong, I couldnt put it better... "Potato: such a sweet word!"

I have learned that Tater and I turned out not much like what we imagined for ourselves when we were teenagers "staring ahead into a brilliant future, slightly off to one side." But we have ended up in surprisingly similar places nonetheless. So there is a lesson for you young punks from us old fogeys -- it is worth it to keep up with your old friends. Awwwwwww, Sweet Potatoe indeed!
