Relative Size. by Kid. on 2002-02-04 17:45:30

I don't know how to breach this, so I'm just going in!

Have you all noticed how things/people you respect and love always seem much larger than those you don't. What brought this on you cry in unison! Well, I was thinking back to last year, when I saw Nelson Mandela in Hyde Park; and despite the fact he is not the biggest of blokes, he filled the stage, no-one needed the screen because he so huge. Tony Blair, however, looked tiny in comparison, almost as if he were shrinking on the spot. It was odd, Is it just me? Am I disturbed, or do people know what I mean?

yes... i know what you mean... you become attached to someone -- a girlfriend/ boyfriend or friend and it kills you to see them with someone else. atleast with me... maybe we're just mental together.

Yeah, I know what you mean. For instance, everyone I'm in love with seems preternaturally gigantic for a while. It's like a bad special effect, where the surroundings recede but they still get larger. Eventually they resume their normal size. Humans and attention, they so crazy!
