No, its not just you. I think we all get them. I had The Model by Kraftwerk throughout a lecture today. I was drumming it out with my pens, which I guess was quite annoying for my fellow students. So sorry.

Hands up who thought I said 'drumming it out with my penis'?

Oh, just me then.

Hey, I know how to get those songs out of your head. Repeat this to yourself 10 times and those songs will be gone: "Come and listen to my story 'bout a man named Jed, poor mountaineer barely kept his family fed. Then one day he was shootin' at some food, an' up from the ground came a bubblin' crude."

(damn, why am I awake now) Jaysus, tommie, talk about helping someone inflict self-torture. Especially the part about only getting *part* of that song going in someone's head. That's real "we had to destroy the village in order to save it" time.

Evidently, not everyone's heard of the bird. I thought you had re-done, 'The Word' off of Revolver, but it seems not. I'm lost. I've got to go find me a bird.

I can vouch for this one; it's real. Do find it; you'll never forget it! It's actually called Surfin' Bird and it came out in the early to mid 60's by The Trashmen (sic).

And for all those who thought for seconds before slamming this track onto their Audiogalaxy list, I too can say "Wow! It does exst. And it is one of those tracks that will irritate the hell out of me". If I didn't have a different track in my head already, it would be firmly lodged there. 'Um-muh-muh-mow-mow' bits especially.

Odd.

Ack! I just heard this myself. Now I am scrambling through a pile of old cassette tapes trying to find my scratchy, stretched out copy of The Raw and the Cooked.

Likewise, the Mercedes commercial doesn't play enough of "Whoever You Are" by Geggy Tah.
