Funny Guy. I Kill You Last. by Kid on 2003-05-12 14:56:45

This is (relatively clearly, Dawn French fans...oh, just me) brought on by the sitcoms show on BBC1 just now (I won't talk about the C4 docu about the Moscow theatre hostage situation) but do people have a golden sitcom. No, I won't buy Friends, the same as I can't buy Frasier, but a favourite old-time sitcom. Yes, I imagine US & UK will have disparity (My Leonard Rossiter & Richard Beckinsale issues will have to wait). I won't tell. I'll prepare a big essay for tomorrow. Look forward people, for there is but pain.

For me, it has to be the old school classics from across the pond! Many a happy hour have i spent in front of Happy Days, that Richie Cunningham, he's soooo ginger!! And of course, it brought the world the Winkmeister, the Fonz himself. But i did really love the Cosby Show! I think that qualifies as a sitcom! We saw five kids actually grow up on screen and not in the annoying why-did-you-never-get-fitter way Sally Fletcher of H & A has. I love Bill Cosby! That's right baby. Most mock him especially comedians who he paved the way from, Saturday Night Live bastards like Kid's favourite Chris Rock. But fuck them cos at the end of the day, he's just funny and you don't have to be a foul-mouthed-skinny-assed-wide-jawed fuck wit to be funny. That's for you Kid, luv ya man. I love Bill Cosby and i don't care who knows it!!!!!!!

Damn straight. Was there anything more satisfying than watching Neighbours until 6, then turning over to the Cosby Show. Yes, The Fresh Prince is compensation, and yes, we all love Will and, later on, Ashley, but the Cosby show was the pinnacle. I never really get to see much Bill Cosby being Bill Cosby, which is a shame. Maybe I ought to find some. As for Happy Days, yes. Its one of those 9am things you don't feel guilty watching. Not like Bewitched. I feel a bit middle-aged when I settle down to Bewitched. All good, man. Keep them coming folks.

Particularly the one with both David Hyde-Pierce and Kelsey Grammer, right? As Bob & Cecil. That's the best one. Oh, and Kodos and Kang. And "You fell on Aerosmith"....and the...(can you see what it is yet?)
