Denke ich, dass ich habe jetzt meine DeutschWoertebuch im Haus, weil ich hatte zwei Jahre DeutscheSprache studiert im Uni -- (word order be damned!! -- and that's why I failed German?) I DO like the language for all it's metre-long words and gutteral intensity... you? As for speaking, how hard can it be to ask for beer? Congratulations, though - its a wonderful hidden gift to have a language up your sleeve. Ich mag Deutsch auch - wie Sie sagen, es gibt viele(n?) sehr lange(n?) Wörten. Enough, I think, though. As for my German, only time will tell if I can use it functionally, but I'm glad of this refresher. Ja, Ich habe ein Deutsche A-Level - Ich sprachte Deutsch (wann ich 18 war) wie ein Kinder der Zehn Jahren haben. Jetzt, Ich habe viele Problemen (Meistens grammatisch) aber Ich schreibe nur was ich denke richtig ist. So, no, I was never really good at German, and this comment will prove that. However, I seem to be able to...get by....if you will. I should be alright for three days, all going well.
