Guuuuargggghhhhh.....it was late....OK? Its been a bad week, I was laid off and bad things happened. Anyway.

I think the crux of this message stands. I did make a fool of myself, I do have to move out when my lease runs out at the end of June and I will go into teaching ultimately.

The rest is true but I wish I'd not said it now.

Quit beating yourself up, Kid; you're among friends here! Since it's only for three months, go work in a pub or a food store or a restaurant.

Is your teaching job already secured? To where will you move then?

My teaching job is not secured at all. Its still very...well, my course I like to think is quite secure - I've not found out officially, but after my 1 year's training, I'm under the impression that a job will not be too difficult to obtain....maybe looking for 6 months to a year. And where? I don't know. Ideally up near Huddersfield or down here in Norwich....I'll tackle that when I get to it. Expect a lot of exciting news about it over the next couple of years.

So have you done all that you can to secure your position? Is there nothing more now to do but wait? Have you applied for several positions until you get a commitment from one? And what will you be teaching?

In order - not through any reason than each part is an equally important part of your original question.

1. Yes - my form is filled in, application submitted to my referee, and though he isn't the fastest reacting man in the world, he's given me assurances he tackles these things early.
2. Well, I can read a bit, ask for experience in schools watching teaching, and I can even get my finances sorted, but nothing directly left for me to do.
3. I've applied for 4 unis, but only 2 I can get to, and only one I want to go to, really....if I get to one of the others? I'll tackle that if I come to it.
4. English. 11-18 year olds, but I think it starts 11-16. Both language and literature which is my weak spot, really.

Help me understand here... you say you've applied for 4 "unis"; I take it you mean universities? The age group to which you refer corresponds more to what we call secondary or high school. Will you be teaching in a university? How does that work in Britain? And what level of university degree do you have? Here, we have a bachelor degree, which normally takes 4 years, after which, one may go on to get a masters or doctorate.

Ah, in that case, yes - I'll clarify.

I'm 21, and have my bachelor degree (A BA). I'm applying to universities again (the same institutions run post-graduate study here) to do what is a 'Post-Graduate Certificate in Education' - anything else not correlate?
