A couple of nights ago, before I went to bed, I wrote a 500 word or so retort, simply highlighting my frustration of these 'purists' of fandom. (Note here, Johnny, that I am on your side - you can support who you want when you want for me) Does it matter how long you've been following a certain person/team? Or is judging people (and eschewing those who do not fit a certain timescale) by that criterion a way of trying to ensure a level of reflected glory, and therefore ultimately selfish? I think it is. To that end, it strictly means that only people present at the genesis of anything have the right to claim support of it through time - and where does that leave people who couldn't have been there (Youngsters, non-nationals, all sorts).
Put simply, who is this guy to come on and accuse Potatoe-ers of being band-wagon jumpers in
a) Ignorance, and
b) A perfect example of the mind-set I have (vaguely) outlined above.

|I read one of Auden's poems the other night. I'm now a huge fan of poetry. Thanks Kid, I'm happy to have your support! Would enjoy reading the 500 word retort. Its beauty might compare to a lovely French resort...............this is what fanaticism does to an adult human male-->BEWARE.|
