In our native land it is the season of the holidays. Natives spend all their time shopping for useless gifts and cooking high-cholesterol foods. Time for Potatoe chattin' after then potatoe eatin'.

Well, certainly none of us Yanks are going to be available during the time of day you're usually on. And today is one of those special days that includes a nap. I got caught today delivering canned whipped cream directly into my mouth. So much for being cool.

Well I don't think it's really a breach of etiquette as long as you didn't actually wrap your lips around the nozzle. You didn't do that, did you?
The problem here was more related to scheduling. By the time my guests found parking, the Macy's parade had already left my neighborhood. We had to take the subway and chase the parade down to Times Square. But we did get to see the giant Rocky and Bullwinkle balloon, so it was worth it, despite the rain.

That's what's sad. If I had wrapped my lips around the nozzle, I wouldn't have been heard from the next room.

Rain anywhere north of "the line" this time of year sounds unbearable. I detest cold, although for short durations it can be fun. Like going to Vermont (into Burlington) in two weeks. Oh boy!
How many holidays, Tommie? by Kid Loco/E68 on 1999-11-29 19:12:41  |  Reply to this
Tommie, do you ever work, you're always going or coming back or on holiday!!!

Actually, the rain was really warm. It was kind of confusing. Now the cold winds have arrived and I saw a little frost this morning. It's wintry and fine.
California Girl that I am, I still find it exotic and charming after seven years here. It's all much more pleasant if you don't drive.

  Whoa!

NYC. Warm rain. California Girl. Rocky and Bullwinkle.

Sounds like an X-Files episode!

And I hate that they're back.

Of course. I should have known. But I was regularly kicked out of History lessons, and so maybe never knew. Thanx.

Everyone has gone, so that we will stop coming here, then, when we give up and lose hope, theyll come back and continue as before, in the pre-CHANDLER BING days. I jst wish theyd told me about this cunning plan.
