wanna go HOME now...
SATAN DRIVES TO WORK

  Wow, Everyone's Gone Home

26 February 1999

7:37 PM: I don't know, really, it just seemed time to start this. I'll go try to think of something to say now.

Oh! Snack! Gummi worms! TONS of 'em! And I am so far from being the early bird I'm about to back into him, so there goes that theory. As I always say, or have since I thought of it,

Nighttime to rise
And daytime to bed
Helps make the time pass
Until we drop dead

8:53: I saw some vague but disturbing reference to this in the local paper the other day, and now thanks to the magic of the Internet, I know it's all true: Robin Williams is starring in a movie version of Asimov's "The Bicentennial Man". Robin Williams!!?! Since when did a robot ever get that hairy? I have such a horrible feeling about this. But it's been way too long since I read the story, I'm going to have to pick up a copy so I can know the details of my dread. Two details I know already : Chris Columbus.

9:38: Good lord. I don't even know what horrible is.

Taco Bell Dog Inspires Movie

10:48: It's really hard to stay too depressed given enough sour gummi worms.

I've only been here not quite 6 hours. Today I even went so far as to actually get up at 9 AM and leave the house to go have breakfast. Sausage gravy & biscuits. It seemed like a really good idea when I was half-asleep.

I don't know. I have a lot of trouble with solid food lately. I couldn't eat more than a third of it. Granted, it was an armed assault on my arteries so that's not such a huge loss. But I was starving before, honest. I thought I was. God this is complicated. Where are my food pills?

Anyway, I am just going to sit here long enough to rock out to this song and then leave anyway because I did a bunch of stuff and besides, I'm petulant and childish that way. Some new Harry Turtledove book is in at Borders. More later.

"Calling all. This is our last cry before our eternal silence."

Willfully blind self-indulgent nebbish or amusingly quirky old coot? And how bout that local sports team? Discuss among yourselves.

All names are fake, most places are real, the author is definitely unreliable but it's all in good fun. Yep.
