SATAN DRIVES TO WORK

  And What's With The Hair?

6 April 2001

11:45 PM: OK, so there's this new song, pretty good, "We Got To Be Good To Each Other", and the name of the group/person who does it is Ray Wonder. And I think, is that a joke? You know. Ray Stevens, Stevie Wonder? Oh wait, it's Ray Charles. But isn't there a Ray Stevens? Ah. That's the guy who did that song, "I Don't Like Spiders & Snakes". Not a lot of likely connection with Stevie Wonder, though. So probably no, this is just this person's name. Or the band's name. Unless it's funnier in England for some reason.

Can you tell that I'm a little punchy?

Another day spent working at home. Honestly, I do get more done. When I'm not reading Mighty Big TV. My Bob, the Forum topic on "Epiphany", the most recent episode of Angel, runs to 20 pages. I liked it too, but damn, is there really that much to say? (Here's a hint: No.) I think the drought is driving everyone crazy.

Noticeably, I did not cry Today to learn that PG&E is going bankrupt. Even if it is only the smaller, cash-cow utility spinoff, and only after it was milked for all the cash it could give. There's a hoof&mouth joke in there somewhere, I'm sure, but let's not.

This weekend: More Work. Still haven't even started the Monthly Chore which is due Tuesday. Fun fun.

Willfully blind self-indulgent nebbish or amusingly quirky old coot? And how bout that local sports team? Discuss among yourselves.

All names are fake, most places are real, the author is definitely unreliable but it's all in good fun. Yep.
