	I agree. What a frightening situation. But I can't help thinking how they hung the Mir cosmonauts out to dry when the government changed. It's really sad.

There is a British rescue submarine going out now, but it will take 2 days to get out there, and already there is no sign of life. Was it just the Russian's pride, or couldn't anybody? The sub is 60degrees (I can't do the sign) so it would (I imagine) be difficult to lock on. Still, we shall see. Just as stupid is that the US has refused Russia's help with the wildfires in the Southwest. Russia has offered to lend the United States two of its IL-76 tanker aircraft — by far the largest in the world. A single IL-76 tanker can drop 11,000 gallons of water in one trip - about four times as much as the largest tanker in the U.S. arsenal, the C-130 Hercules. It's too sad when National Pride is more important than human life.
