Pitch-and-putt A small version of golf, where the holes are only 50-100 metres from the tee, and you are given only a pitching wedge and a putter, hence the name. It is quite a leisurely sport and works wonderfully well in the sun; walk and play, walk and play. See?
Box-social A term our group has come to associate with a type of party. I describe it a dinner party without the dinner. So things are a little refined, music is quiet, and conversation is free-flowing. It is less raucous than a Hootenanny but moreso than a...tea party
