Read The Rules. by Kid. on 2002-09-11 09:06:14

I've just made a packet capuccino. They're alright. Nothing world defining, nothing so disgusting you check the sole of your shoe for brand names. I've had them all week. They tell me to stir continually as I pour in the water. I do. The phone rings. I pick it up, casually pouring in the water without stirring. Capucinno turns out shitty and powdery. Everyone is unhappy, and my caffeine hit is ruined.

People. Read the rules.

don't always read the rule: if you cook frozen onion rings for 15 minutes on 160, like it says on the back of the packet then they come out soggy and limp. however, if you cook them for 26 minuted on 190 they are crisp, but not burnt, and are delicious.

Remember kids, those are Celsius temps! In Fahrenheit it would be like 325 vs 375. If you cook anything in oil at 160 or even 190 F, it is guaranteed to be soggy and limp.

...and if you're using the Kelvin scale (which starts at absolute zero), those numbers would be 433 and 463.

I was so excited for a minute there. Don't want to ruin people's days, but they're for cooling not heating.

Still, nice work...

Wait a minute! Wait a minute! You want to chill! 130 and 160 degrees Kelvin correspond to -143 and -113 Kelvin.
